Meet Hanna Swords
Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Hanna Swords, LLMSW is a graduate of Spring Arbor University with a Master’s in Social Work. She provides counseling for children and adults ages 8 and up.
Hanna has previously worked in case management, direct care, and a variety of areas in social work working with individuals, families, and groups. She has experience working with individuals working to improve their emotional management. Her goal is to walk alongside you to assist you in accomplishing your personal goals. Hanna provides a nonjudgmental and compassionate environment to assist in reaching full potential for this complicated life.
Hanna has worked closely with foster families, children, and biological families as they navigate the foster care system, and cope under difficult circumstances. Hanna enjoys working with youth recognizing the significance of this time in their lives as they face challenges with identity, the future, and a variety of other aspects of their lives.
Hanna utilizes a relational approach when working with individuals and couples. She utilizes the person-centered approach, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, and has completed training in the Gottman method for couples interventions.
